Terry Williams - Creator of Classical Matters





A native of Los Angeles, Terry Williams pursued music and science in his youth. Deciding against a music scholarship to university, he chose to go into science as a career and graduated with a B.A. in biology and a Ph.D in molecular biology/biochemisry from the University of California. His professional life includes academic, biotechnology, and clinical research in cancer therapy and immunology. Along the way, he continued his musical development, learning a number of different instruments as well as audio engineering and recording techniques. He currently resides in the north San Diego area and works in the field of clinical research.

His current musical interests center around the use of computers and digital technology in music production. He has a special interest in classical music and created Classical Matters as a website to promote classical artists and composers. In addition, the site attempts to stimulate interest in the classical community in the new technology of the digital age and the internet.
